We are individuals and families who live in the vicinity of the Activation Ministry International Center. We are cyclists who love to ride Lookout Mountain Road and appreciate the locals who know how to share the road with us. We are folks who love the Lariat Loop State Scenic & Historic Byway, National Scenic Highway, and don't want to see it compromised by the presence of a mega-anything.
Elk crossing S. Lookout Mtn. Rd. at the AMI Facility
We are people who love and want to retain the charm and simplicity of the small mountain/rural community on top of Lookout Mountain. We are folks who love to drive the Lariat Loop without traffic gridlock. We are naturalists who thrill to the flora and fauna of this beautiful area. And yes, we are hunters who realize that the only way to preserve the health and welfare of game animals is to protect and defend the area that they live in -- and the herds on Lookout Mountain are currently thriving. We are folks who moved here to get away from urban sprawl, air and noise pollution. We are every person who wants to keep Lookout Mountain "the last best place".
MISSION STATEMENT
To serve as caretakers to preserve and protect the scenic, historic and community character of Lookout Mountain in accordance with the goals and policies defined by the Central Mountain Community Plan.
Why "Save The Loop"?
We are NOT opposed to the current facility; however, we ARE opposed to the huge expansion and effective change of zoning that would alter the ambiance and history of our mountain community forever.
